I absolutely adore the feature on Amanda Peet & her stunning, seemingly effortlessly designed home in the new issue of Domino. I particularly love the two bedrooms shown:

I was so incredibly sad to learn today that Blueprint magazine will no longer be published after the Jan/Feb issue. The magazine has only been around for about 7 issues (all of which I own) and in those few issues, Blueprint really stood out from its parent magazine MSL, as well as other magazines in the same genre (Real Simple, Domino, etc). What makes me even more distressed is the fact that a few snippets of Blueprint will continue to run, but not as a part of Martha Sewart Living, but as a part of MS Weddings (what??).

Farewell Blueprint, you will be greatly missed. (Thankfully the accompanying blog, Bluelines will continue to run...)

I fell in love with the new Starbucks ad campaign upon seeing the Ski Lift commercial:



My love was then cemented with the Bear Hug commercial:



I think part of what makes these tv spots resonate with me so much, aside from the touching vignettes, is that the animation style reminds me of The Snowman (a very charming movie from the 80's - see below), albeit more sophisticatedly animated.
